Arbor Day Celebration 2014 Public Service Announcement Twin Falls County will be celebrating Arbor Day on Friday April 25th 2014 at 11:00am at Rock Creek Park, .2 of a mile down the trail below the Hieder Pavilion. The event will start with the reading of the Arbor Day Proclamation by the Board of County Commissioners. Following the reading we will then plant 3 drought tolerant trees that have been containerized. County Tree Advisory committee members parks employees, and Arborists will give a demonstration on properly digging holes and planting trees. A free lunch will be served afterwards. There will be free tree selection calendars (donations accepted), educational material, and have the opportunity to chat with an ISA Certified Arborist. The public is invited to attend. Celebrating Arbor Day is one of the requirements of Twin Falls County keeping its Tree City USA status. Twin Falls County is only one of two counties in Idaho that has this designation.
